Unarmed Security Officer

We're hiring DCJS Licensed Security Officers for nightlife venues and events in Norfolk & Hampton. If you're dependable, professional, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to connect with you.

What You'll Do:

Patrol and monitor assigned areas to maintain a safe, secure environment Respond to incidents and investigate disturbances as needed Enforce rules and address violations appropriately Assist with removing individuals when necessary Identify and report suspicious activity Partner with local law enforcement when required Verify IDs and enforce age restrictions Manage entry points, access control, and crowd counts

What We're Looking For:

Ability to pass a background check Strong professionalism and sound judgment in high-pressure situations Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills Familiarity with age verification procedures Working knowledge of Virginia ABC and fire codes is a plus Prior experience in security or a related field preferred CPR/First Aid certification is a plus Must have (or be able to obtain) a

$16.00 - $16.50 per hour
