This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and participants entering and exiting the building.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and document individuals entering and exiting the building. Greet visitors, staff, and participants in a professional and welcoming manner. Ensure all visitors follow sign-in and sign-out procedures. Verify appointments, scheduled visits, and authorized access to the facility. Monitor common areas and report safety, security, or environmental concerns. Assist with maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere throughout the facility. Observe and report unusual activity, policy violations, or potential safety risks to leadership. Support emergency procedures and evacuation protocols when necessary. Provide peer support, encouragement, and redirection when appropriate. Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
Purpose:
The Security Peer Support Monitor helps balance safety and support by ensuring the facility remains secure while treating every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion. This role contributes to creating a trauma-informed environment where participants feel both safe and welcomed.
