Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Salem, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the site. AM What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including buildings, parking areas, perimeter points, and other restricted utility-related areas as assigned. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and help to deter unauthorized access to sensitive areas, equipment, and infrastructure. Support Allied Universal and site leadership with routine reporting, communication of unusual activity, and other assigned security-related duties based on location needs.

Minimum Requirements:

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
