Full Job Description Wage Range:
$29.81 - $45.82 Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
Job Summary:
Responsible for overseeing physical security systems and leading training programs for hospital staff and security personnel. Ensures the safety of patients, visitors, and staff while fostering a culture of preparedness and compliance. Serves as a superuser and point of contact for security systems. Leads training efforts in defensive tactics, patient restraints, and emergency code responses. Performs Security Officer duties.
Primary Duties:
1. Administers the Uniform Code of Regulations (UCOR) security systems to include implementing agreed upon design for new system installations/office buildouts, acceptance testing of hardware, programming, and maintenance along with oversight of the third-party systems integrators. 2.Maintains physical security systems data, documentation, and program content on the team's security systems. 3.Manages UCOR's access control system by performing audits of badge records, clearances to sensitive areas, programming of hardware and alarm events, etc. Coordinates and verifies the necessary access levels for UCOR's personnel. 4.Implements security technology strategies and solutions with a focus on scalable growth, automation, and optimal business outcomes. 5.Creates and maintains the life cycle management plan for security equipment and sustains working inventory of system specifications and equipment. 6.Develops training materials and facilitates training workshops for the EvergreenHealth security team on current software and emerging technologies. 7.Conducts ongoing functionality testing of security systems and associated hardware to ensure proper coverage and operation. Identifies malfunctions, troubleshoots, and works closely with vendors to resolve and fix issues. 8.Works with IT to identify how security systems are impacted during maintenance windows. Performs system validations as needed. 9.Provides direct oversight to the physical security team ensuring completion of projects, preventative maintenance schedules, and physical security systems oversight. 10.Provides security for the hospital's patients, visitors, staff, and employees, enforces rules against both employees and non-employees, protects hospital property and responds to requests for service and emergency codes. 11.Performs all job duties and accountabilities of the Security Officer and Lead Security Officer positions. 12.Acts as an advisor to the physical security and stakeholders and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve technical problems. 13.Provides physical security program support functions including updating program management reports and tracking the progress of open and on-going initiatives. 14.Supports security exercises and testing. 15.Leads physical security projects as required. 16.Assists with and performs physical security audits and inspections. 17.Plans and deliver hospital-wide training on emergency codes (e.g., Code Security Alert, Code Active Shooter). 18.Develops training materials, simulations, and drills. 19.Instructs staff in patient restraint and de-escalation techniques. 20.Leads onboarding and ongoing training for Security Officers. 21.Evaluates training effectiveness and recommends improvements. 22.Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED
for the position: High School graduate or equivalent 5 years of experience in security or related training /experience Current Washington State Driver's license Experience in developing, presenting, and evaluating training program DESIRED for the position: 1 year of experience in Hospital Security, Police, Military Police, Correctional Officer, or related field
