Non-Exempt Summary:
The Safety and Security Officer position at North Olympic Healthcare Network is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring the premises. The person in this position will greet guests upon arrival, guard property, assets, and people while providing top tier customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Safety and Security:
Responsible for overseeing site security at all NOHN site locations Consistent presence at the safety podium greeting patients upon entry Assist staff with unruly patients or visitors Engages unauthorized persons in the buildings Issues trespass warnings as required Patrols site grounds, parking lots Secures sites by patrolling building access points Escorts staff to and from parking lots as requested Complete incident reports as needed Engages proper authorities as needed Receives visitors by logging them in visitor log and handing out visitor badges Assist in providing safety education to staff and participating in safety initiatives, development, etc. Assist in providing a safe working environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Other duties as assigned Relationship Management Develop collaborative relationships with all departments, managers and staff Develop collaborative relationships with community law enforcement
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
At least two years of previous security, safety, or customer service experience and valid WA driver's license
Skills:
Ability to work all shifts and be flexible depending on schedule needs Participate in requested safety/security training, certifications, etc. Consciences and engaged Ability to interact and collaborate Detail-oriented Uphold the mission, values, and principles of the organization Create and maintain a positive culture.
Language:
English, written and spoken.
Physical Demands:
Walking, standing and sitting 8-9 hours per day Ability to drive between sites daily Normal overtime/extended work hours.
Work Environment:
Fast-paced community health center setting, potential exposure to infectious diseases, interaction with diverse patient population.
Benefits:
