This position serves as a visible and trusted presence within assigned schools, building positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners while promoting a culture of safety, respect, and accountability. The successful candidate will utilize a proactive, prevention-focused approach to school safety by supporting student well-being, assisting with conflict resolution, implementing restorative practices, responding to safety and security concerns, and supporting emergency preparedness efforts. The Campus Resource Officer will work closely with school administrators and staff to address challenges, de-escalate situations, investigate incidents, and provide timely support during emergencies and critical incidents. This position serves as a liaison between schools, families, law enforcement, and community agencies, fostering collaborative partnerships that enhance school safety and strengthen positive outcomes for students. The Campus Resource Officer will model professionalism, sound judgment, integrity, and a commitment to equitable and student-centered practices while helping ensure compliance with District safety protocols and expectations. Working collaboratively with district leadership, school administrators, classified and certificated staff, School Resource Officers (SROs), School Resource Deputies (SRDs), and public safety agencies, the Campus Resource Officer contributes to a comprehensive and coordinated approach to safety, preparedness, prevention, and crisis response across assigned schools and District facilities.
