The Division of Management Services, Bureau of Technology Management (BTM) is currently recruiting to fill a Surveillance and Access Control Systems Specialist (IS Technical Services Specialist) position. This position will be headquartered at the DOC central office in Madison, WI.
NOTE:
Applicants must currently live in or be willing to relocate to Wisconsin. Position Summary This position provides specialized and comprehensive support, consultation, and training services for Department staff. The primary responsibility and expertise is in the area of video surveillance, door control systems, key inventory systems, access control systems, and other specialized IT-integrated facility-based systems to include cameras, servers, networking equipment, workstations, cabling, software, and other specialized equipment used in these systems. This position will develop, recommend, and implement standards for surveillance and control hardware and software. Extensive field work and travel are incorporated in this position with "hands on" work in installing and maintaining these systems. This position will work closely with DOC and other facilities, DOA facilities management, and vendors in lifecycle management of IT-integrated facility-based systems. The person assigned to this position will be required to direct vendors in installation and maintenance of these systems. This position works across traditional information technology borders in that surveillance, door control, key inventory, access control and other IT-integrated facility-based systems include network, server, workstation, HVAC, telecom, and other components. Salary Information The starting pay is between $85000 and $112257 per year, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 07-33. A 12-month probationary period is required. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have experience: Installing and integrating surveillance and access control system hardware such as cameras, cables, computers, and networks. Reviewing project and/or engineering plans to ensure compliance with set standards.
