Unarmed Security Guard

Overview Join our dynamic security team as an Unarmed Security Guard, where your vigilance and commitment to safety will help maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. In this role, you will be the first line of defense, monitoring premises through surveillance systems, managing access points, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a safe, welcoming atmosphere while supporting loss prevention efforts and emergency response procedures. Responsibilities Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to oversee activity across the premises and identify any suspicious behavior or security breaches. Control access points by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors to ensure authorized entry. Conduct regular patrols of the facility to observe for hazards, unauthorized persons, or safety violations. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by following established protocols, including administering basic first aid or CPR if necessary. Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping. Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when required to address security concerns or incidents. Assist in loss prevention strategies by observing and reporting theft or vandalism activities. Requirements Proven ability to remain alert and attentive during extended periods of surveillance and monitoring. Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and security best practices. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Experience or background in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is a plus. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations professionally. Familiarity with security procedures related to loss prevention and incident reporting.
