SECURITY OPERATIONS CORRECTIONAL SERGEANT EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS 701
East Jefferson Street Phoenix, Arizona 85034 https://corrections.az.gov/ ADCCR The Security Operations Sergeant is responsible for operating the security operation center and maintaining situational awareness across all state facilities. The position will contribute to the oversight of all body-worn camera systems, taser systems, and the operational map and dashboard of significant events as well as the significant incident reporting system and ensuring reports are completed accurately and within expected time frames; operate and dispatch statewide radio transmission; provide support executive level support during special operations, and high-profile visits. ADCRR attend required ADCRR training sessions and meetings to ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures, and Other duties as assigned as related to the position. skills to carry out your responsibilities effectively. Some of the critical requirements for this role include: Federal, state, and agency laws, regulations, and policies related to law enforcement and security operations. Correctional operations and basic principles of inmate and staff safety. Computer systems, security software, and incident reporting systems. Applying security and surveillance techniques in a professional environment. Interpreting and following ADCRR and state policies, rules, and regulations. Effective written and verbal communication, including clear and concise report writing. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with staff and external partners. Time management, organization, and attention to detail. Remain alert and responsive during long or irregular shifts. Communicate effectively with staff, management, and members of the public. Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. Conduct surveillance and maintain situational awareness in and around Central Office facilities. Prepare accurate and detailed reports of incidents and observations. Must have a valid Arizona Drivers License. If this position requires driving or using a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply; Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid, class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked or suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.)
R2-10-207.11
).
