The Courtesy Officer will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within our community. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage conflicts, monitor surveillance systems, and respond to incidents with professionalism and composure and speak English and Spanish. Responsibilities Monitor premises through regular patrols to ensure safety and security. Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to observe and report any suspicious activities. Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or disturbances, applying conflict management techniques as necessary. Assist residents and visitors by providing information and addressing concerns in a courteous manner. Conduct inspections of property grounds to identify potential hazards or security breaches. Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to ensure community safety. Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts. Requirements . Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies. Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. Excellent observational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while also being a team player. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to pass background checks as required by the position.
