Job Description

General Description•
Contract Position:
To provide after-hours assistance to victims of sexual assault through crisis intervention via the Crisis Line and accompaniment to Forensic Medical Exams (FME) at the Bridging Hope office, in Gainesville, GA 30501.
Specific Duties:
Provides crisis intervention to victims via the Crisis Line and during Forensic Medical Exams; Must be available to respond in person within 30 minutes to BH office anytime during the agreed upon shift to provide accompaniment for FME; Acts as a liaison between the victim, law enforcement and medical personnel in an effort to provide a continuum of care; Provides information to victims regarding community resources; Completes and submits reports as required; Must respond to crisis line calls within 5 minutes, and BH office within 30 minutes; Must return all paperwork and forms to Volunteer Program Coordinator on the next business day.
Hours Required:
This is a contract position. Nights and weekends. Some opportunity to work daytime and holidays (when office is closed).
Weekday night shift:
Monday
  • Thursday, 6pm-6am.
Weekend shift:
Friday 5pm
  • Monday 7am.

  • I understand that I am being hired as an independent contractor by Bridging Hope.
As such I will have no employee benefits or worker's compensation coverage and will be responsible for paying my own federal, social security and state income taxes on the sums paid by Bridging Hope. I understand that form 1099 will be issued to me for contract payments and that a copy will be filed with the Internal Revenue Service. Form W-9 signed by me contains accurate information for filing of form 1099 by Bridging Hope.
On Call Payment Info:
Weekday night shift: Monday
  • Thursday, 6pm-6am Weekend shift: Friday 5pm
  • Monday 7am
On-Call Fees:

  • each 12 hour shift ($30) Pay per
