GED Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Camera Monitor / Quality Assurance Observer is responsible for overseeing live video feeds from all group homes to ensure staff are performing their duties in compliance with agency policies. This position plays a critical role in maintaining safe, clean, and professional environments for residents by monitoring staff conduct, identifying concerns, and providing timely feedback to both staff and administration. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Observe live camera feeds across group homes during assigned shifts to ensure staff are engaged and following agency procedures. Monitor staff compliance with professional standards, including appropriate use of time and minimal personal phone usage. Ensure homes remain clean, safe, and orderly by conducting visual checks through camera monitoring. Contact staff immediately when issues arise, providing direction for corrective action in real time. Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in a detailed report for submission to administration. Flag repeat offenders or ongoing concerns for administrative review and disciplinary consideration. Track and maintain compliance records to identify patterns or areas for staff training and improvement. Protect confidentiality of all video surveillance footage and uphold agency policies regarding privacy and security. High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred). Prior experience in quality assurance, compliance monitoring, security, or human services is strongly preferred. Strong attention to detail and observational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to remain objective, impartial, and professional at all times. Comfortable addressing staff directly and providing corrective feedback when needed. Proficiency with computer systems and basic reporting software.
Work Environment:
Position is based in the agency office, monitoring staff activity through camera feeds for the duration of the shift. Work is primarily sedentary and computer-based, requiring extended periods of sitting and observation. Regular communication with group home staff and administrative team is required. Standard office hours with evening or weekend shifts as assigned. Professional, confidential, and focused work environment.
