Job Description

The Surveillance Operator uses video and audio equipment to observe, investigate and report procedural violations, NMGCB MIC infractions and criminal activity. The Surveillance Operator is responsible for monitoring the entire property to provide a safe, secure and enjoyable gaming experience for our guests and team members. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain video and audio surveillance to all areas within and around the facility. Observe, audit and review company assets. prepare and maintain files of relevant activity observed and/or reported. Provide investigative evidence for management, law enforcement and regulatory requirements as directed. Develop and maintain accurate knowledge of all internal and external controls. Filter and disseminate information to management during emergency situations. Develop and maintain technical proficiency of all equipment. Prioritize and multitask through stressful situations. Ability to generate factual, legible and unbiased reports. This is not a complete list of the duties and responsibilities associated with the position. The duties may be changed to meet the needs of the business. Requirements Work & Educational Requirements Must have high school diploma or equivalent. One (1) year prior experience including; Security Officer, Loss Prevention, Corrections, Law Enforcement, Surveillance and/or Military. At least 21 years of age. Must be able to pass background check, drug test, and credit check. Ability to obtain and maintain New Mexico Gaming Work Permit. Must be computer proficient with excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to understand federal and state rules and regulations and implications of each. Must be detail oriented. Ability to sit and work in a dark area for extended periods of time. Shift Availability Must be willing to work weekends, nights and holidays. Preferred Experience Investigative evidence handling techniques and experience. Cash handling experience.
