SUMMARY:
Summary:
The Surveillance Officer reports to the Surveillance Supervisor as well as the Surveillance Manager and provides support in all compliance and related activities. The Surveillance Operator organizes and maintains surveillance records, audits, logs, and reports. In addition, they relate and communicate positively to surveillance management and other staff. Employees must be available for all shifts. (Possible rotating shifts).
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
One to two years of surveillance experience in security system installation or gaming video surveillance experience, with an emphasis in all areas of installation, monitor, repair, and troubleshoot security systems. Have a mix of technical skills, such as electrical and video installation knowledge, expertise with network administration, as well as installation repair, and maintenance skills, such as wiring, drilling, cabling. Knowledge about specific security hardware, such as CCTV cameras. Must have an In-depth knowledge of federal/state laws and local ordinances or regulations pertaining to security surveillance, life/safety requirements, and applicable elements of employment law. Experience with and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and/or regulatory agency reporting requirements regarding security and gaming surveillance. Strong leadership skills and customer service orientation required. Must be able to work effectively with peers, staff members, and regulatory agency personnel. Strong computer skills to include effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Knowledge of video surveillance information and reporting systems preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND REPONSIBLITIES
Assists plans and directs all surveillance technical related activities on assigned shift. Ensures effective communication between all areas of the building and casino as it relates to the guest experience. Provides coaching counseling and recommendations to Surveillance Management for recognition to encourage excellent performance in all areas. Promotes excellent guest service. Prepares follow-up to criminal reports when necessary. Prepares Surveillance Reports as required. Provides excellent customer service and team member relations. Keep open communication between team members and management. Ensures all team members assigned to their shift understand and comply with the appearance standards of the casino. Maintaining Compliance of all logs to ensure minimal use of electronic devices by all team members in surveillance. Must be knowledgeable and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, laws, internal policies/procedures, and internal control protocols. Issues written and oral instructions. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates and maintains harmony among workers and resolves issues of concern. Performs other related duties as may be assigned by reporting senior.
