Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Adjudicator with a focus on the Department of Justice - Executive Office for United States Attorneys ( DOJ-EOUSA) . In this vital role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding justice by meticulously reviewing and evaluating complex criminal and civil cases. Your expertise will help ensure integrity in legal proceedings, prevent fraud, and uphold the rule of law. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to national security and justice initiatives through detailed analysis, surveillance, and investigative oversight. Duties Receive, review, and assemble detailed security package for federal personnel security specialist in JSTARS to determination of suitability and fitness for employment. Assist and evaluate reports of investigations, and other records to determine if individuals are eligible suitability for employment, ensuring national security interests are protected. Assist in any other personnel security duties, special projects, as requested. Conduct thorough reviews of case files, evidence, and reports related to criminal investigations and legal proceedings. Perform surveillance activities to gather intelligence and monitor potential criminal activity. Assist in data collection efforts by analyzing information from various sources to identify patterns or discrepancies. Support criminal investigations through detailed analysis skills, ensuring all findings are accurately documented. Prepare comprehensive reports that clearly communicate investigative findings, supporting legal actions or adjudications. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to coordinate case assessments and share critical information. Contribute to fraud prevention and detection initiatives by identifying suspicious activities and potential misconduct.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience or 8 years of relevant adjudication experience. At least 2 years' experience adjudicating personnel security cases for the United States Government. Proven experience in law enforcement or criminal investigation roles, with a solid understanding of investigative procedures. Strong knowledge of fraud prevention, detection techniques, and surveillance methods. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and evidence. Skilled in report writing with clear, concise documentation of findings. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Exceptional attention to detail combined with critical thinking capabilities to evaluate cases thoroughly. Pay:
$38.53 - $48.36 per hour
