The Opportunity We are seeking experienced and self-motivated Field Investigators to conduct thorough AOE/COE (Arising Out of Employment/In the Course of Employment), liability, and surveillance investigations. The ideal candidate is a curious, detail-oriented fact-finder who excels at working independently and producing high-quality, detailed reports. You will manage your own caseload, conduct interviews, conduct surveillance, and be a crucial part of ensuring fair outcomes based on evidence. Key Responsibilities - AOE/COE and Liability Claims Conduct in-depth interviews with claimants, employers, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather factual information. Manage a full caseload of workers' compensation (AOE/COE) and general liability claims. Secure recorded or written statements, documents, and other evidence. Visit incident locations to take photographs, create diagrams, and assess environmental factors. Draft clear, concise, and comprehensive investigative reports for our clients in a timely manner. Maintain regular communication and provide status updates to clients and claims administrators. Uphold the highest level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards. Key Responsibilities - Surveillance Investigations Conduct in-depth surveillance investigations discreetly for extended periods on short-term notice. Secure clear, video-recorded evidence of the claimants performing physical tasks and hourly location shots for clients to refer to. Travel to residences, medical appointments, and public places throughout the assignment. Draft clear, concise, and comprehensive investigative reports and footage for our clients in a timely manner. Maintain regular communication and provide status updates to management. Uphold the highest level of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical standards. Qualifications and Skills These are not entry-level positions. The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Required:
A minimum of five (5) years of direct experience conducting workers' compensation (AOE/COE) and general liability field investigations or a minimum of three (3) years of direct experience conducting surveillance investigations is required, depending on role. A valid and current California Private Investigator (PI) license. Proven ability to write detailed, accurate, and grammatically correct investigative reports. Excellent interviewing and statement-taking skills. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently.
Preferred:
Direct experience with Title IX investigations is a significant plus. Bilingual abilities (Spanish-speaking is highly desirable). A Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Administration of Justice, or a related field. A camera and accompanying technology to conduct surveillance.
