THE SHEPHERD INVESTIGATION GROUP
(SIG) Metro Atlanta, Georgia Private Investigator / Surveillance Investigator The Shepherd Investigation Group is seeking professional, motivated investigators to support criminal defense, surveillance, background investigations, witness interviews, and specialized investigative operations throughout Metro Atlanta and North Georgia. SIG is built on over 20 years of combined federal, state, and local law enforcement experience. We are seeking disciplined professionals capable of operating independently while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior law enforcement, military, corrections, or investigative experience Georgia PI license or ability to qualify Clean criminal and driving history Strong report-writing skills Ability to conduct surveillance for extended periods Professional appearance and demeanor Reliable vehicle and smartphone/computer access

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Private Detective and become a vital part of uncovering truths, solving mysteries, and ensuring safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize investigative skills, surveillance techniques, and law enforcement experience to assist clients in diverse cases. As a Private Detective, you will conduct thorough investigations, gather critical evidence, and provide detailed reports that support legal and personal resolutions. Your proactive approach and keen eye for detail will drive successful outcomes in complex situations. Duties Conduct surveillance operations using advanced techniques to monitor individuals or locations discreetly and effectively Gather evidence through interviews, background checks, and on-site investigations while maintaining strict confidentiality Perform stakeouts, follow suspects, and utilize technical tools such as CCTV cameras to collect visual documentation Write comprehensive reports detailing investigative findings clearly and accurately for legal or client review Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, providing support and sharing pertinent information Manage case files meticulously, ensuring all documentation complies with legal standards and privacy regulations Utilize conflict management skills to handle sensitive situations professionally and de-escalate potential conflicts during investigations Skills Proven experience in law enforcement, military service, security, or related fields that involve investigative work or surveillance Knowledge of surveillance equipment, report writing standards, and investigative procedures Ability to perform first aid and CPR to ensure safety during field operations Strong conflict management skills to handle high-pressure scenarios calmly and effectively Excellent communication skills for interviewing witnesses and documenting findings clearly Familiarity with legal protocols related to evidence collection and privacy laws Physical fitness for conducting surveillance activities that require standing, walking, or quick movement over extended periods Embark on a rewarding career where your investigative talents make a real difference!
