Job Description

• Intelligence Tracking and Communications (ITAC) 12 hour fixed shifts (non-rotating), 40 hours per week 2 nd
Shift:
8:00pm to 8:00am Under general supervision of the ITAC Team Leader (P&P LE Manager I), ITAC Agent Trainee will learn to serve as the first line of notification for statewide electronic surveillance alerts. Triage alerts and notify appropriate persons as required. Maintains a professional communication network inside and outside the Department, promotes public relations within the Fusion Center and effective communication with field staff/responders, and maintains effective knowledge of all surveillance software, hardware, and program protocols all while being an Agent Trainee. In the event of severe weather conditions or emergency situations, the ITAC Agent Trainee (P&P LEO I) is classified as "Essential Personnel" meaning, they must report to designated work locations to ensure ITAC operations are only minimally interrupted so as to provide for the continued protection of public safety. A bachelor's degree with at least 15 semester hours in social or behavioral science courses; An associate's degree and two (2) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted; or a high school diploma and four (4) years of military or certified law enforcement experience (to include Class 1 or Offender Supervision Specialist experience) may be substituted. In addition to meeting the minimum requirements, applicants must have the ability to meet C-1 law enforcement certification by the SC Criminal Justice Academy (12 weeks sequestration at the academy).
