Duties Mow lawns using power tools such as riding mowers, push mowers, and string trimmers to achieve a clean, even cut. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, trimming, pruning, and shrubbery care to enhance curb appeal. Operate hand tools and power equipment like hedge trimmers, blowers, and aerators safely and effectively. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules. Execute hardscape projects such as installing or repairing pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and sometimes stump removal with appropriate tools or machinery like excavators. Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow plowing during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain landscaping equipment and power tools. Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening with a keen eye for detail. Familiarity with horticulture principles and plant health management. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment when needed for landscape projects. Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and safety precautions for working at heights. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes for various landscaping tasks. Good understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance to promote healthy plant growth. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards learning new techniques in landscaping and hardscape installation.
