Open Job description: Lead 2's Teacher Full Job Description Little Friends School Sunnyside, Inc. is hiring a full-time (40+ hour) Early Childhood Education (ECE) Lead Teacher for our 2's classroom. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced educator with strong classroom management and leadership skills, while also being a team player. The Lead Teacher will work alongside an assistant teacher and collaborate closely with the school leadership team. Must be available Monday - Friday between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Hiring is contingent on resume and qualifications review, background check, fingerprinting by the Dept. of Investigation, and at least one demo lesson with the children to observe your engagement and teaching style. Responsibilities and Duties We are looking for a candidate who is professional, nurturing, reliable , and genuinely loves working with young children. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Leading developmentally appropriate activities for 2-year-olds Implementing the school's curriculum and fostering cognitive, emotional, and social development Creating a warm and engaging classroom environment Encouraging early independence, communication, and self-help skills Conducting daily circle time, sensory play, and small group instruction Communicating daily with families and documenting student progress Supporting toileting and potty-training Maintaining a safe, organized, and clean classroom Collaborating with other team members and participating in ongoing training and staff meetings Education Requirements Candidates must meet one of the following: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education OR Bachelor's Degree in any field AND currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 2 years experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children (preferred) Must be 21+ years of age Strong communication and classroom management skills Passionate about teaching and early childhood development Bilingual a plus (but not required)
