About the Role At Home Instead of Spokane, we connect people who need care with skilled, compassionate Care Professionals who are trained to make a difference. The Lead Care Pro (LCP) is an important role in our office, a highly skilled, high-performing Care Pro who shows up where it matters most. You'll be the field anchor for new clients at the Start of Care, the steady presence during transitions, and the trusted peer mentor for incoming Care Pros. You'll work in close partnership with our Client Care Advisor and scheduling team to make sure every client gets a confident, consistent start and every Care Pro stepping into a new assignment feels prepared and supported. What You'll Do Start of Care & Client Folio Provide exceptional care for new clients during their first 1-4 visits, establishing routines and building rapport with clients and their families Model the standards every Care Pro in our office is expected to meet Build a Client Folio for each assigned client: a practical record of routines, preferences, home environment, family dynamics, and care details that sets up every future Care Pro for success Update care plans when field realities differ from what was scoped at intake Support warm, well-prepared handoffs to long-term Care Pros Mentoring & Introductions Introduce incoming Care Pros to clients during transition visits, making sure they understand routines and expectations before working independently Model Home Instead standards in real time. Safety, dignity, transfer technique, dementia support, end-of-life care, and documentation Mentor newer Care Pros informally during visits, sharing the practical techniques and judgment that come from experience Provide field-level observations to the Client Care Advisor on rapport, confidence, and fit Emergency Coverage Step in for emergency and short-notice shifts as directed by the scheduling team, prioritizing new clients and higher-risk cases Maintain readiness; reliable transportation, current credentials, and the flexibility to respond same-day or next-day within the service area Office Support Contribute field perspective to office discussions on clients, Care Pros, and care quality Support Care Pro onboarding, in-service training, quality assurance follow-up, and other office projects as time allows Schedule This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position. Core office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, flexibility is essential. Start of Care visits may fall outside standard hours, and Saturday coverage (rotating with other office staff) may occasionally be required. Requirements The following are required to be considered for this position: Valid Home Care Aide (HCA) or Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) credential from the State of Washington High School Diploma or GED Meaningful prior caregiving experience; demonstrated success on complex or higher-risk cases strongly preferred Valid driver's license, reliable personal transportation, and current auto insurance Ability and willingness to transport clients in your own vehicle when the care plan calls for it Demonstrated strength in transfer technique, dementia support, and end-of-life support, or a genuine, active commitment to upskilling in these areas Availability to participate in the on-call rotation and respond to occasional evening, weekend, or short-notice shifts Physical ability to perform essential care tasks, including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and assisting with client transfers Ability to deliver all levels of care, from companionship through specialty cases in any home environment Who Thrives in This Role You're not just a great caregiver - you're someone who makes other caregivers better.
