As a Lead Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in guiding new caregivers and providing essential care and support to adults with varying needs in their homes. Comfort Keepers is a well-known, top brand home health agency servicing the Metro Area that provides consistency, a great atmosphere with flexibility for our caregivers! Here at Comfort Keepers self-care is important!
Qualifications:
At least one years' experience in leading and coaching others At least three year's experience as a caregiver (CNA is preferred) Work 30-40 hours per week, but be available 50 hours every week and 10 hours on weekdays plus able to work some weekend days Willing to travel throughout the Metro Area At least 18 years of age A valid driver's license and active auto insurance for client transportation An experienced caregiver with strong caregiving skills A background in long-term care, assisted living, dementia care, nursing homes and hospice is highly desirable Knowledgeable in using the equipment that our clients need Ability to work with a wide range of clients who have varying needs Willing to do personal cares for female and male clients Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Knowledge of HIPAA regulations Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds when necessary Familiarity with resident rights and home care practices Ability to comprehend and clearly speak English Ability to use your smartphone which includes downloading and using Apps and sending texts and emails
Duties:
Introduce new caregivers to clients
  • Train and coach new caregivers in shadow shifts
  • Complete client re-assessments and supervisory visits
  • Build strong relationships with clients and caregivers
  • Work with a wide range of clients to provide high-quality, compassionate care
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medications and monitor vital signs as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living spaces
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings
  • Assist with mobility and transfers
  • Implement behavior management techniques as needed
  • Use your smart phone to download and use apps and send texts and emails
  • Start new clients and filling in when caregivers are absent
  • Ensure documentation meets Comfort Keepers & MDH standards
  • Bring positivity, creativity, and leadership to the team
