LEAD CARPENTER - ADU CONSTRUCTION

Ready to Lead From the Front? BuildX is growing fast — and we need a high-level carpenter who takes pride in running clean, organized, efficient job sites. We specialize in building accessory dwelling units (ADUs) throughout southeastern Massachusetts. Our builds are streamlined, under 900 sq ft, and system-driven — but they demand craftsmanship, leadership, and accountability. This is not a helper role. This is not a "just swing a hammer" role. This is for a carpenter who can lead the build on-site , set the standard for quality, and move projects forward daily.

What You'll Do:

Lead day-to-day on-site carpentry operations for ADU builds Execute framing, finish carpentry, and light layout work at a high level Manage and direct laborers and junior carpenters Coordinate with the Project Manager on sequencing and scheduling Maintain clean, safe, organized job sites Identify issues early and solve problems proactively Ensure work meets BuildX quality standards Keep production moving without constant supervision

This position is primarily road-based and will require regular travel to job sites as well as occasional in-person meetings in Carver, MA. Can you reliably commute to Carver and the surrounding areas without needing relocation? (Candidates with commutes longer than 40 minutes will not be considered.) This role requires working with subcontractors, inspectors, and homeowners. How do you keep all parties informed, hold people accountable, and ensure work is completed correctly and on time?
