Lead Carpenter / Job Site Supervisor

Duties Lead and supervise construction crews on-site, ensuring work is performed efficiently, safely, and according to plans and specifications Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to guide team activities Coordinate with project managers to develop and maintain detailed project schedules Oversee quality control measures to ensure craftsmanship meets industry standards and client expectations Manage daily site operations including material deliveries, equipment usage, safety protocols, and work sequencing Conduct regular safety inspections in compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety protocols among all team members Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure scope adherence and accurate budgeting Requirements Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising skilled tradespeople on active sites Extensive carpentry skills with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Familiarity with construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid or similar software for budgeting purposes Knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or Primavera for project scheduling and documentation Hands-on experience with construction site safety standards and OSHA regulations Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for quality control checks Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while managing multiple priorities simultaneously Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams Knowledge of contracts law related to construction projects and change order processing This role is ideal for motivated professionals eager to lead impactful projects while advancing their expertise in construction management.
