Job Description
Schedule:
Full time, days (7:00am - 3:00pm), every other weekend and holidays.Main Function:
As a seasoned C.N.A. with at least 5 years of experience, the primary purpose of this position is to guide the C.N.A. team to ensure care is delivered in a timely and appropriate manner. This includes providing input on assignments and scheduling, including breaks and lunches. The Lead CNA acts as a liaison between C.N.A.s and the nursing management team and collaborates with nursing staff to ensure care cards accurately reflect resident needs. The Lead CNA also assists residents with activities of daily living and advocates for resident choice, independence, privacy, dignity, and security. This role supports maintaining and improving each resident's quality of life to the highest functional level, while ensuring all care is provided in accordance with federal and state regulations and the Continuing Care Center's policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrates basic knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to communicate information related to the age-specific needs of the individual.Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Current NY State C.N.A. Certification with no abuse convictions High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer 5 years experience working as a CNA Why Join Thompson?
