• Position Overview
• Werko Machine Company is looking for a Lead CNC Lathe Machinist for our climate-controlled job shop in Pennsauken, NJ.

This position is for a full-time, 1st shift worker with experience in CNC Programming, Set Up, and Operation. Knowledge of manual or other manufacturing equipment is a plus. The candidate must be organized, dependable, and mechanically skilled for this position. Fluent knowledge of CNC Programming using CAM software is essential to be considered for this position.

• Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for programming and assisting operators with set-up and operation Inspect finished product and verify it's dimensionally correct using a micrometer, caliper or other measuring equipment Study and interpret drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and set-up requirements Work as a team member meeting a professional standard of cooperation, communication and appearance Follow written and verbal procedures for machining and other duties Maintain regular attendance and perform duties in a timely manner Other responsibilities as assigned •Preferred Qualifications •Experience with multi-axis CNC machines Familiarity with CAD/CAM software Experience in a manufacturing environment producing custom or high-precision parts •Physical Requirements •Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift Occasional bending, kneeling, and climbing may be required Use of protective gear, such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection, as needed •Working Hours •Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional overtime based on production needs •Compensation •$34 - 38 Per Hour Pension plan / 401 K Life Insurance 2 weeks PTO + sick leave End of year bonus Heath insurance Vision plan You should be proficient in: Troubleshooting Skills CNC Programming CNC Machine Setup & Changeover Manual Machining Skills Machines & technologies you'll use: Manual Lathe CNC Lathe (2-4 axis) (Okuma, Haas, Mazak)
