Lead DevOps Engineer#26-05566 Columbus, OH Charlotte, NC On-site Contract Starts 5/18/2026 Ends 5/17/2027 Job Description Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH and Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. We are seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, cloud-native platforms that enable secure and efficient application delivery. This role focuses on Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms, GitOps driven CI/CD workflows, and automation across OCP, Azure and GCP. The ideal candidate is passionate about developer enablement, infrastructure as code, and building resilient, self-service platforms using modern automation and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
Consult onplex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering Review and analyzeplex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges Drive DevOps transformation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and GitOps based delivery models Design and enable end-to-end DevOps workflows, integrating infrastructure automation with CI/CD pipelines (GitOps / GitHub Actions) to support microservices deployment at scale Automate microservices deployments across Kubernetes and OCP environments using tools like Harness Implement GitOps workflows using declarative configurations and
JSON/YAML
based pipelines Enable cloud native platform delivery across Azure and GCP, aligning infrastructure, application deployment, and security controls through code Embed DevSecOps practices, observability, and pipeline instrumentation to improve visibility into pipeline performance Develop automation and tooling using Python, integrating with CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and deployment workflows Establish centralized version tracking and release visibility to improve governance and traceability
Requirements:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or abination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education Hands-on DevOps and platform engineering expert Experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift platforms Experience with GitOps driven CI/CD workflows and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions) Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP Proficiency in developing automation and tooling using Python Strong collaborator focused on developer enablement and self-service platforms Pay range: $59.53 - $67.53 per hour Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
