  • Job Description:
Schedule:
Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 0630-1700 Acquires and analyzes ultrasound images and data, providing complete and high-quality studies for radiologist interpretation. Performs team member orientation, training, and coaching, and provides input for performance evaluations. Promotes a positive patient experience by ensuring service excellence, effective communication, and the delivery of timely, high-quality care by the team. Other duties as assigned. Serves as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed. Supports scheduling of personnel to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation, using flexible staffing when appropriate. Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting. Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders and established protocols. Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness and obtains necessary clinical history prior to scanning. Positions patients and equipment appropriately and manipulates transducers and technical factors to acquire optimal images, waveforms, heart rates, and other diagnostic data. Explains procedures to patients, ensuring comfort, cooperation, and privacy throughout the exam. Completes the ultrasound technologist worksheet with accurate, clear, and concise documentation of exam findings to support radiologist review and dictation.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledgeable in Abdomen, Abdominal Doppler, Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/Gyn), Small Parts, Vascular and Interventional Sonographic procedures [Required]
  • Ability to master new tasks related to computer software, picture archive, and communication system (PACS) [Required]
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner [Required]
  • Ability to perform Venous Ultrasound Doppler [Required]
  • Knowledge of AGFA PACS and associated equipment [Required]
  • Computer skills in word processing and email such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook [Required]
  • Good organizational skills [Preferred]
  • Breast Sonography knowledge [Preferred]
  • Pediatric and Neuro Sonography knowledge [Preferred]
  • Education:
  • High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
  • Associate's in an Ultrasound Program [Preferred]
  • Bachelor's in healthcare related field [Preferred]
  • Field of Study:

  • 3+ years of experience [Preferred]
  • Additional Information:
  • One additional registry specialty to include:
