Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Lead Diesel Mechanic and take charge of maintaining, repairing, and optimizing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of skilled technicians, ensuring that all machinery operates at peak performance to support our operational excellence. Your expertise in diesel engines, heavy equipment, and automotive diagnostics will drive efficiency and safety across our fleet and machinery. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of diesel technicians, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and technical excellence Diagnose complex issues on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, and other heavy equipment components Oversee routine maintenance tasks including vehicle inspections, oil changes, brake repairs, tire service, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacement Perform advanced repairs on farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers using schematics and power tools Fabricate custom parts or modifications as needed to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Collaborate with other departments to coordinate repairs and minimize downtime for critical machinery Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics Extensive dealership experience or equivalent in heavy equipment operation and service technician roles Familiarity with semi tractor/ trailer equipment, Caterpillar equipment, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, welding techniques, soldering, and electrical troubleshooting Hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, equipment repair, and use of hand tools and power tools Knowledge of schematics interpretation for complex mechanical systems across industrial machinery and farm equipment Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during repairs or installations Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients about maintenance needs or repair processes This role offers the chance to lead impactful projects while working with cutting-edge machinery in a supportive environment that values your expertise.
