Position Summary:
As a Lead Director - Finance Systems & Process Transformation, you will lead and deliver large-scale finance transformation programs across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to shape and lead end‑to‑end finance transformation initiatives—defining strategy, overseeing complex program execution, and partnering closely with senior stakeholders to modernize finance processes, systems, and operating models. You'll be recognized as a strategic leader with deep finance and transformation expertise, a strong executive presence, and a proven ability to drive change across global enterprises. Experience supporting M&A‑driven finance transformations is highly valued and considered a strong differentiator. Key Responsibilities Finance Transformation Leadership Lead end-to-end finance transformation initiatives, including system modernization, integration of acquired entities to EP, and data/analytics improvements. Define transformation roadmaps aligned with business strategy, value creation objectives, and financial outcomes. Drive adoption of best practices across Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Treasury. Program & Execution Management Oversee complex, multi-workstream finance transformation programs, ensuring delivery on scope, timeline, and budget. Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and issues; develop mitigation plans and guide decision-making at the executive level. Ability to manage and support multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritize work effectively. Stakeholder & Executive Engagement Partner closely with Finance leadership, business executives, IT, and external partners to align transformation priorities. Present transformation strategies, business cases, and status updates to senior leaders and executive committees. Influence decision-making by presenting clear options, trade-offs, and recommendations. Change Management & Capability Building Lead organizational change initiatives, including communication strategies, training, and adoption planning. Build and mentor high-performing transformation teams; foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Work independently and present solutions to stakeholders and leaders to support data-driven decision making. M&A Integration Support finance aspects of M&A activity, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger finance transformation. Lead harmonization of finance processes, systems, controls, and reporting for acquired entities. Partner with corporate development and finance leadership to accelerate value realization from acquisitions.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Finance, Finance Transformation, or large-scale business transformation initiatives Minimum of 5-7 years in a leadership role, managing senior teams and complex programs. Experience with at least 3+ ERP-enabled finance transformations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA or comparable platforms) Deep experience in one or more business processes like Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash Strong knowledge of finance processes, controls, and performance management Proven experience leading enterprise-wide transformation programs with cross-functional impact Willingness to travel 10%-20% (including plane) based on project needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in Big 4 consulting, advisory, or professional services environments. Prior experience working for or project in a large complex environment M&A integration or carve-out experience supporting finance organizations. Familiarity with advanced finance technologies, data analytics, automation tools and AI/ML capabilities Proficiency in Cloud architecture and solution design is highly preferred
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent years of related professional work experience may substitute MBA or relevant professional certification (CPA, CMA, PMP) preferred Any Hyperscalar certification (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure) preferred Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $100,000.00 - $231,540.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
