Job Description
Lead Electrician/Electrical Engineer Residential construction company Chattanooga, TN Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $80,000 a year Benefits Company truck Paid holidays Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Electrical License Vendor management Commercial electrician experience Journeyman Electrician Electrical troubleshooting Full Job Description Lead Electrician / Electrical Manager Residential & Light Commercial Construction Greater Chattanooga Area | Full-Time | $70,000-$80,000/yr + 8% profit share Build great projects. Lead a growing team. Hit deadlines. Get paid for it. We're a well-established residential and light commercial construction company with a reputation for craftsmanship, creativity, and taking care of our clients and our team. This isn't a desk job. You'll be on the site 75% of the time wiring up beautiful residential and light commercial projects the right way. The other 25% is leadership — scheduling your crew, prepping jobs, walking inspections, overseeing service calls, and building the systems that turn this into a real business. Here's the kind of person we need: You get along with everyone — Project Managers, Designers, clients, apprentices, inspectors, vendors — but you're not soft. You know how to cut through the chatter, size up what needs to happen, and get after it. You respect a deadline. When the PM needs you finished on Monday and rough-in's not done, you figure it out — even if that means a long day Friday and a few hours Saturday. You don't whine about it, you just hit the date and then go home proud. You're goal-oriented. You think in terms of "what does done look like and when is it due," not "how do I fill eight hours." You've probably been frustrated in past jobs by people who show up, coast, and collect a paycheck — and you'd love to be on a team where that's not the standard. What you'd be doing: Wiring residential and light commercial projects — panels, rough-in, trim, troubleshooting — from dry-in through final inspection Leading and working alongside a small crew of electricians and apprentices (set the pace, coach the craft) Coordinating daily with Project Managers, Interior Designers, and clients Producing takeoffs, material lists, and scopes with the Estimator Overseeing service and warranty calls and helping grow service into its own arm of the business Walking inspections, managing vendors, tracking job costs, and reporting to ownership Building the processes, safety program, and training that make an electrical division run right What you bring: 7+ years of residential and/or light commercial electrical experience, with time in a lead role Pride in your work — clean panels, neat homeruns, tidy trim Expert knowledge of the NEC; comfortable with low-voltage and generators Natural leadership — people like working for you and with you A deadline-driven mindset with the willingness to put in extra hours when a job demands it (doesn't happen every week, but when it does, you show up) Great with clients who expect excellent communication
Licensing:
Ideally you already hold a TN or GA electrical license. If you're a strong journeyman working toward your Electrical Contractor's license, we want to talk — you'll be our qualifying agent once you're there, and we'll support you getting there. Who you're probably not: Someone who clocks in at 7 and is mentally out at 3:30 Someone who thinks "showing up" is the job Someone who sees subs, clients, or Designers as annoyances What we offer: $70,000-$80,000 salary , based on experience and license status 8% profit share on the electrical division — when it wins, you win Company truck Health insurance Paid time off and holidays Tool allowance 401(k) retirement plan A real seat at the table — you'll build this division, not inherit someone else's A note on confidentiality: We respect that strong candidates are often currently employed. All applications and conversations are confidential, and we will not contact your current employer without your express permission. To apply:
Send the following: Your resume or work history A paragraph on why you're interested A couple of photos of your best work (a clean panel, a trim-out you're proud of — whatever you've got) 3 professional references — ideally a past supervisor, a past co-worker, and a client or GC you've worked withPay:
