Lead Engineering Technician (Direct Hire)

As an Engineering technician in the Engineering and Test Directorate, you will be an integral member of the team responsible for performing propulsion test activities at Stennis Space Center. Your skills will be highly utilized to fabricate, install, activate and operate technical systems necessary for the successful achievement of the goals of the Center, NASA and our commercial partners.

Qualifications:

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-11 , you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 level in the Federal service: Operating and troubleshooting mechanical or electrical systems used in test or operational environments; Fabricating or modifying technical systems such as piping, tubing, or instrumentation to support test activities; Assigning work to technicians, monitoring progress, and providing technical guidance or training to support task completion.
