We are looking for someone who knows fencing, takes pride in clean work, and can help lead a crew in the field. This is not an entry-level position. Fence installation experience is required. The right person may have the opportunity to grow into a foreman role depending on experience, leadership ability, and job performance. We install residential and commercial fence projects throughout the Lafayette and Acadiana area. Our work includes wood privacy fence, chain link, aluminum, vinyl, gates, and commercial/security fencing. We are looking for someone who can help keep jobs moving, maintain quality standards, and represent the company well on the jobsite. Responsibilities As a Lead Fence Installer, you will help manage day-to-day installation work on fence projects.

Responsibilities may include:

Leading or assisting with the supervision of a fence installation crew Laying out fence lines, setting string lines, marking post locations, and checking measurements Setting wood, steel, chain link, vinyl, and aluminum fence posts Installing fence panels, pickets, rails, gates, hardware, and related materials Driving fence posts with a powered post driver Mixing and placing concrete for fence posts Reading basic job layouts, measurements, drawings, and project notes Operating common fence installation tools and equipment safely Making sure work is completed correctly, efficiently, and to company standards Identifying problems in the field and communicating with management when needed Maintaining a clean and safe jobsite Helping train less-experienced installers when needed Representing the company professionally around customers and property owners Requirements Qualified applicants must have: Previous fence installation experience Ability to build and install fences without constant supervision Experience with wood, chain link, aluminum, vinyl, gates, or commercial fencing Ability to measure accurately and work from layouts or job instructions Experience setting posts and working with concrete Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and fence installation equipment Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to lead by example and keep a crew productive Ability to work outdoors in Louisiana heat, rain, humidity, and changing jobsite conditions Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor throughout the day Reliable transportation to work Valid driver's license Preferred Experience The following experience is a plus: Previous lead installer or foreman experience Gate installation experience Chain link terminal/gate post layout experience Commercial fence installation experience Welding experience Equipment operation experience Ability to pull trailers or drive work trucks Ability to communicate clearly with customers and crew members What We're Looking For We want someone who does not cut corners. The right person will understand that fence work is more than just putting posts in the ground. We care about straight lines, solid gates, proper post depth, clean finishes, and fences that are built to last. This position is best for someone who already knows the trade and wants the opportunity to take on more responsibility with a growing local fence company. Pay Pay is based on experience, skill level, and leadership ability. Foreman-level pay may be available for the right candidate with proven fencing experience and the ability to lead a crew. Schedule Full-time position. Most work is performed Monday through Friday, with occasional schedule adjustments depending on weather, workload, and project needs.
