Up to 40 hours/week. 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday. Some weekend days are a must. At least 1 weekend day during busy times of the year. $25 to $29 per hour, depending on experience Zannah Farms is a local flower farm growing seasonal flowers to provide to the community with a roadside flower stand and wedding/event florals. We're hiring an Experienced Farmer/Florist assistant to join our team in flower growing and floral design including: harvesting, planting, weeding, and general farm maintenance. Flower design and flower growing experience required.

Responsibilities Include:

• Cleaning and maintaining the pristine look of the Roadside Stand and flower shop
• Basic floral design that meets timing standards
• Monitor and replenish the flower stand inventory based on current stock levels and customer demand, ensuring it remains well-stocked, visually appealing, and aligned with seasonal offerings. Ability to receive money and make change.
• Interact with and serve customer needs at the farm stand and farm.
• Crop planning and Field install planning
• Greenhouse Management growing seedlings
• Field Prep, till, weed, tarp, hole burning
• Plant starts into field
• Grow amazing flowers
• Assessing the necessary needs for plant survival
• Harvest flowers according to schedule and quality standards
• Layout irrigation, cover beds for winter care, clean land
• Cultivating, watering, and maintaining flower beds
• Weed flower beds for a pristine appearance
• Assist in event set up and take down
• Cleaning buckets and composting
• Order taking and design, flower delivery
• Manage phone on 1 or 2 days per week
• Assist with wedding and event prep, design and installation as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors and lift heavy objects
• Attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
• Organized, dependable, responsible, problem solver
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Floral design with speed critical.
