Lead Heavy Equipment Operator/Utility Foreman

Full Job Description Family-owned underground utility and sitework contractor is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator / Utility Foreman to join our growing team immediately. We are looking for a dependable leader who can operate equipment, lead utility crews, read plans, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently. This is a long-term opportunity with steady work throughout the Kansas City metro, Lawrence, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment for underground utility installation and site grading Lead and coordinate utility crews in the field Read blueprints, grades, and site plans Perform sewer, waterline, storm, grading, and excavation work Maintain safe and productive jobsites Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members Help train and develop less experienced operators and laborers Equipment Operated Excavators (mini and full-size) Backhoes Wheel loaders Skid steers Dozers HDD equipment Other sitework and utility equipment as needed Qualifications Previous experience operating heavy construction equipment required Experience leading utility or sitework crews required Ability to read blueprints and grades required Experience with sewer/water installation, grading, and excavation preferred CDL Class A preferred OSHA 10 certification preferred or ability to obtain Good driving record Must pass pre-employment drug screening Benefits Competitive hourly pay Overtime opportunities Steady year-round work Medical insurance Dental insurance Life insurance 401(k) Paid holidays Vacation time Sick time Opportunity for advancement Why Join Our Team?
