Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Hood Cleaning Technician and become a vital part of ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and optimal performance of commercial kitchen ventilation systems. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and maintaining kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, and related equipment to meet health and safety standards. Your expertise will help prevent fire hazards, improve air quality, and support the smooth operation of busy food service establishments. Responsibilities Perform detailed cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust hoods, filters, ducts, and fans using specialized tools and techniques. Inspect ventilation systems for grease buildup, blockages, or damage, and report findings promptly. Utilize schematics and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with ventilation equipment. Follow safety protocols rigorously during cleaning procedures to ensure compliance with fire codes and health regulations. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspection reports and cleaning logs. Assist with equipment repair or maintenance tasks as needed to ensure system functionality. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. Experience Prior experience in appliance repair, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration), or service technician roles is highly desirable. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals. Experience working with HVAC or refrigeration systems is a plus. Construction or maintenance background can be beneficial for understanding building systems and safety procedures. Leadership qualities that enable effective teamwork and problem-solving in fast-paced environments are valued. Familiarity with equipment repair and routine maintenance tasks related to ventilation or mechanical systems is advantageous. A proactive attitude toward learning new skills and adhering to safety standards will help you succeed in this role.
