Pay increases: For permanent employees, the first pay increase occurs after 6 months if the employee passes the probationary period. The second pay increase occurs after 1 year. Pay increases occur annually thereafter, until top step is reached.BASIC FUNCTION
Under the supervision of the Director, Special Education and Mental Health and with direction from the District Program Specialist, lead and participate in a variety of complex applied behavioral and instructional support activities in an assigned classroom or other learning environment; train and provide work direction to assigned personnel; assist instructional assistants in reinforcing instruction to individual or small groups of students; will work with both individuals and small groups of students; train personnel in collecting and maintaining data on student behavior; and perform a variety of clerical duties as assigned. Education & Experience High School Diploma, GED or certificate of completion. Associate's degree or completion of at least two years (48 semester units or 60 quarter units) at an institution of higher learning is preferred Specialized training in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is preferred Three years of verifiable experience working with students with severe behavioral and/or emotional disorders including some demonstrated experience implementing Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) programs.APPLICATION & EXAMINATION PROCESS

A•Written job knowledge test (30% of Total Score) B•Structured oral interview (70% of Total Score) Some classifications require you to pass a physical examination. This examination is at the district's expense and the appointment is not assured until you have passed this examination. Applicants must attain a passing score of 70% on each part of the examination in order to be placed on the eligibility list. Should a large number of candidates pass the written exam, a higher passing score than 70% may be required to progress. Candidates who pass the written and panel interview will be placed on an eligibility list valid for six (6) months.
