JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must perform efficient and accurate installation, assembly, and disassembly of commercial office furniture, including (but not limited to) systems furniture, case goods, desks, conference tables, seating, accessories, and wall-mounted components Must be familiar with and able to efficiently install systems and products from major commercial furniture manufacturers, including Haworth, Herman Miller, Knoll, Allsteel, and Steelcase Must demonstrate strong leadership skills to effectively supervise installation crews by directing day-to-day activities of installers and laborers on site. Responsible for delegating tasks, setting the pace, providing on-the-job support, and leading by example in following all company and jobsite safety guidelines. Must have a strong customer service attitude and manner; communicates easily and clearly, is polite and cordial with all customers and peer personnel interactions. Must be computer literate to process digital paperwork on tablet and respond to emails, provide daily end off-day project notes with detail project email status. Must be able to understand blueprints and be adept in both the use and maintenance of various work tools including skill saws, jig saws, routers, sanders, and hammer drills. Provide high quality control by ensuring that all products are installed correctly according to floor plans and that all required components (e.g. electrical, locks, overhead etc.) are in good working order prior to customer walkthrough so that jobsites are left in move-in condition. Must be able to train and mentor new team members support the development of junior installers by modeling proper techniques, company standards, and professionalism Holds a valid driver's license with a clean driving record; able to safely operate a company commercial vehicle (26' truck) and comply with all DOT rules and regulations Must pass all client/customer extensive onsite screening process for badge requirements including escort requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be willing to work irregular hours, including weekends and extended shifts as needed Regularly lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance or equipment Must be physically able to perform frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, crouching, and twisting throughout the workday Able to safely maneuver furniture on stairs, ramps, inclines, and within confined or occupied spaces Capable of working in a variety of environments, including active construction zones, fully built-out office spaces, and occupied client sites Regular use of hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, and hardware during assembly and installation Must be able to safely enter and exit delivery trucks and transport materials through loading docks, elevators, or stairwells Visual acuity and hand coordination are required to operate tools, read floor plans, and assemble detailed components Must be comfortable working in conditions that may require protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots
