Duties Lead and coordinate daily laboratory activities, ensuring adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) standards. Implement and monitor quality control procedures to maintain compliance with New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and Environmental Laboratory Approval Program (ELAP) regulations and industry standards. Supervise laboratory technicians and analysts, providing training on laboratory techniques, safety protocols, and documentation practices. Manage laboratory information management systems (LIMS), ensuring accurate data entry, tracking samples, and maintaining detailed records of experiments and results. Collaborate with research teams to develop and optimize laboratory procedures. Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and validated for consistent performance. Support regulatory audits by preparing documentation and demonstrating compliance with relevant guidelines. Stay current with advancements in scientific research methods and industry best practices to enhance laboratory efficiency.
