Lead Lathe Machinist

CNC Lathe Machinist responsible for complex setup, operation, inspection, and production of high-precision aerospace components. Job Requirements 5-7 years of CNC lathe setup and operation experience in aerospace or high-precision manufacturing CNC lathe machining experience with C-axis and Y-axis equipment Experience using jaws of various sizes, 16C collets, and 5C collets Multi-axis CNC turning experience, including live tooling, sub-spindle, and Y-axis machining GD&T knowledge Blueprint reading experience Experience working with tight tolerances Ability to perform complex CNC setups First Article Inspection experience Experience machining hard-to-cut alloys and heat-resistant aerospace materials Working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and FAA quality requirements Proficiency with inspection tools and precision measuring techniques Experience troubleshooting CNC machining, setup, tooling, and quality issues Preferred Skills Okuma control experience Fanuc control experience Aerospace component manufacturing experience Experience producing detailed, specification-driven parts Experience working from established procedures, standards, and quality documentation Job Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes for high-precision aerospace components Perform complex setups for multi-axis CNC turning operations Run CNC lathe operations using C-axis, Y-axis, live tooling, and sub-spindle equipment Select and use jaws, collets, and workholding based on part requirements Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation Machine hard-to-cut alloys and heat-resistant materials Perform First Article Inspection and in-process inspection Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy Maintain compliance with AS9100, NADCAP, FAA, and internal quality standards Troubleshoot machining, tooling, setup, and quality issues Produce parts according to defined standards, procedures, and tolerances Document inspection results, setup details, and production information as required

Pay:
