Lead Line Cook Barley & Boar

Job description Barley & Boar is seeking an experienced Lead Line Cook to help lead kitchen operations in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment. This position is responsible for maintaining food quality, supporting the kitchen team, and ensuring smooth daily service operations.

Responsibilities:

Lead and support line cooks during daily service Ensure all food is prepared and plated to company standards Assist with prep lists, inventory, ordering, and kitchen organization Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards Communicate effectively with kitchen and front of house teams Help train, motivate, and hold kitchen staff accountable Assist with scheduling and managing kitchen workflow Ensure all orders are completed accurately and on time

Qualifications:

Prior line cook experience required Leadership or kitchen supervisory experience preferred Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Required Certifications:

California Food Handler or Food Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain)
