Job Description
Overview Join our team and be part of something exciting as we open a new restaurant. The concept is fast casual, family friendly dining with a selection of seafood, burgers, BBQ and a full dairy bar with ice cream and takeout. We have an amazing soda fountain and lounge with music billiards and games. It will truly be an exciting experience for customers and team members. All team members (yes even kitchen staff) will receive a TIP share. The right candidate for this position will have experience in similar roles in the past and will have demonstrated an extensive working knowledge of cooking techniques and possess line cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen. You will be asked to do many things and need to be willing to do whatever it takes to help us succeed as we prepare to open, through our opening and as we grow our team. Duties Lead and supervise our line cooks during service, ensuring timely and high-quality food preparation. Oversee food handling procedures to maintain strict safety and sanitation standards across all kitchen stations. Assist in menu planning by providing input on dish execution and ingredient sourcing to enhance guest satisfaction. Prepare ingredients and cook menu items with precision, demonstrating advanced knife skills and culinary techniques. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation, catering orders, and special event service. Maintain a clean, organized workspace that adheres to food safety regulations at all times. Train new team members on food preparation standards, cooking techniques, and food industry best practices. Qualifications Proven experience with a strong understanding of food handling and safety protocols. Ability to maintain focus and food quality during slow or busy periods. Extensive restaurant experience with a focus on culinary excellence and meal preparation. Demonstrated ability in menu planning, food presentation, and catering services. Skilled in food industry practices including cooking techniques, food service operations, and kitchen management. Strong knife skills coupled with expertise in food preparation and meal assembly. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures required for maintaining health standards. Prior leadership experience as a line cook or kitchen supervisor is highly desirable. Pay:
$22.00 - $28.00 per hourBenefits:
