Job Description

Vincent William Wine is an award-winning winery, inn, and restaurant located on the shores of Lake Erie in Ohio wine country. We are a family-owned property with a scratch kitchen, full bar, and a dining program that is elevated but still approachable. Our food draws from seasonal ingredients and a style that feels polished without being overly formal. We are building out our back of house team and looking for the right people to grow with us. Our kitchen structure is relatively flat, and we are open to talent at different levels depending on experience, leadership ability, and fit. This is a good opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, wants to be part of a strong team, and is excited by the idea of helping build something that is still evolving. About the Role We are hiring for back of house roles ranging from strong line cooks to sous chef level team members. The exact role can be shaped around the right person. For some, that may mean coming in as a dependable line cook with strong execution and room to grow. For others, it may mean stepping into a sous chef role with more leadership, training, and operational responsibility. What matters most to us is finding people who care about quality, consistency, teamwork, and hospitality. Responsibilities Execute dishes with consistency, attention to detail, and pride Support prep, service, station setup, and daily kitchen organization Help maintain cleanliness, food safety, and a well-run kitchen Work collaboratively with the chef and team during service Assist with inventory, prep systems, and kitchen organization Help train and support newer team members as needed For more senior candidates, assist with leadership, scheduling, ordering, and day-to-day kitchen oversight What We're Looking For Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen Strong work ethic and a sense of urgency without losing attention to detail Someone reliable, organized, and calm under pressure Willingness to learn, take feedback, and contribute to the team Genuine interest in food, hospitality, and being part of a kitchen that cares Leadership experience is a plus for sous chef level candidates, but we are open to different backgrounds Why Vincent William We are still early in building our food program and team, which makes this a meaningful opportunity for the right person. There is room here to grow, contribute, and help shape the direction of the kitchen over time. We care about building the best team possible, not forcing people into overly rigid roles. Pay is based on experience, and we are open-minded about where the right person fits. Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
