Lead Line Cook Needed / $24-$32/hr After Tips / East Portland/Gresham Area

Busy 34 seat, 21+ cocktail bar/restaurant looking for a second-in-command to work a small line at our 21+ cocktail bar/restaurant. Located in the mountain town of Sandy (10 miles southeast of Gresham)

• very accessible for East Portland, Gresham, Happy Valley, Clackamas and Oregon CityWe're a scratch kitchen focused on easily executable, delicious, elevated bar food.

Operating hours are 4pm-between 9:30/11:30pmMust have 3+ years of cook experience, solo cook experience, and be comfortable and fast on saute, fryer and grillWe run a solo line on weekdays, two cooks on weekends, dish/prep help 3-4 days a week. Will add additional staff as business grows. My goal is to find someone I can move into a sous chef position by the end of summer so that I can focus on our growing catering program

Pay:

$23

• $32/hr including tips. $18
• $21/hr base (dependent on experience) + $40
• $100 in tips per shift depending on day (6-9.

5 hr shifts, 4 days a week)

Training:

We value the integrity of our product and typically offer 2+ full weeks of paid training before your first solo shift

Vibe:

Small team of 5 staff members total, 34 seats, gets pretty busy during dinner hours. Staff ranges from late 20's-late 30's, everyone pitches in to get the job done. The bartenders will do your dishes when you're slammed if you don't have a dish, you run food and help clean tables when they're slammed, everyone eats free and gets a shifty.
