Job description:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance operations for our apartment community. This role is responsible for ensuring the property is well-maintained, safe, and operating efficiently while leading the maintenance team and supporting excellent resident satisfaction. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and knowledgeable in apartment maintenance, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.Responsibilities:
Lead, train, and supervise maintenance staff Perform and oversee preventative maintenance programs Troubleshoot and repair: HVAC systems Plumbing and electrical systems Appliances Carpentry, drywall, painting, and flooring Coordinate and prioritize work orders and unit turns Ensure timely completion of make-ready apartments Respond to emergency maintenance issues and participate in on-call rotation Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment Work with vendors and contractors as needed Ensure compliance with safety standards, local codes, and company policies Communicate effectively with property management regarding maintenance needs and property conditions Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs Skills Proven experience as maintenance technician Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, plumbing and other systems Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime Certificate in HVAC a must!Core Competencies:
