Job Description

Lead Maintenance Technician Position Summary :
The primary responsibility of the Lead Maintenance Technician is timely execution of tasks assigned to them by their supervisor in support of WhiteWater Operations group and external clients. The lead technician will be the point of contact, coordinator of larger and more complex work within their assigned area and be responsible for work performed by maintenance technicians under their influence and direction. Hiring Requirements/Preferences for
Lead Maintenance Technician:
Education or background in Water and Wastewater Operations and Maintenance preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ideally 7 to 10 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or 7 to 10 years in a regulated industry. Relevant work experience includes but is not limited to water/wastewater treatment plant troubleshooting, operation and maintenance, hazardous material handling, storage or containment. Experienced in operation and maintenance requirements of decentralized package treatment plants (i.e.
RBC, FAST, MBR, SBR
& Fixed film reactors). Experienced in operation and maintenance requirements of water/wastewater treatment plants, distribution systems and booster pump stations. Able to read, interpret and utilize information found in blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, diagrams and equipment specifications. Fundamental knowledge of MA regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a Grade 2M (or higher) Full Massachusetts wastewater operator's certification or capable of obtaining within 6 months of employment. The ideal candidate possesses a Water Distribution D-1 or Water Treatment T-1. Must possess a valid MA 2B Hoisting License or be capable of obtaining one within 6 months. OSHA 10 General Industry Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training). Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and pass pre-employment drug screen. Valid US Driver's License.
