Job Description
Company Overview Coffey Health System is a vital healthcare provider serving the Burlington, Kansas community. We offer comprehensive medical services including a critical access hospital, outpatient clinics, rehabilitative and ancillary services as well as assisted living. Job Overview We are seeking a Mammographer to join our imaging team. This role involves performing high-quality imaging procedures to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning . This is a full-time, day shift, Monday - Friday position. Rate is based on years of experience as well as additional modalities a candidate may be certified or experienced in.
Mammography Tech Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammography radiographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate. Position patients, using immobilization when necessary. Calculates exposure factors.
- Demonstrates proficiency in performing all breast imaging procedures, including additional, spot compression and magnification images.
- Performs the quality control functions related to mammography.
- Ensures that all patient communications required are sent in a timely manner and recorded in the mammography records. This includes reports, recall letters, reminder letters, biopsy reports etc.
- Evaluates image data for diagnostic quality obtaining additional images as needed.
- Explains procedures to patients.
- Charge mammography procedures and supplies in hospital billing system.
- Operates current EMR (Meditech) proficiently
- Provide orientation to new and student mammographer's.
- Assist in maintenance and compilation of statistical data including; biopsy reports, surgical reports, etc.
- Actively participates in the quality-assurance monitoring and recording efforts of the department.
Experience:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; Registration with State of Kansas and ARRT.Mammography Specific Registration Desired:
Previous experience as an mammographer in a hospital setting.Pay:
