Summary Job Summary The AP Material Management lead, under direct oversight of the AP Material Management Supervisor, is responsible for performing and overseeing daily task assigned to Office Assistants (9) within the department. Job Duties Demonstrates a comprehensive and thorough knowledge of all laboratory and hospital policies and procedures. Maintains all departmental policies so that the department is CAP compliant and ensure compliance by staff. Works collaboratively with department supervisor to monitor, maintain, and adjust departmental workflows to expedite patient care services, services for external customers, services for pathologists, and services for research support. Strong organizational skills. Uses judgment in the performance of all duties and responsibilities without direct supervision. Has the ability to work independently. Assist the department supervisor with implementation of new processes for expansion of services when necessary. Attends and participates in departmental / program meetings. Assist with preparation of materials/agendas of staff meetings and maintains constant communication with staff. Required Experience Minimum of four years experience in pathology laboratory setting, knowledge of pathology processes and workflow. Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot workflow issues, adapt positively to change, and work collaboratively with a wide variety of personalities Must possess effective verbal and written communication. Required Education High School Diploma
