A Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement Dedication to maintaining equipment and production area cleanliness Leadership in training and assisting fellow team members, including machine operators and helpers. Active participation in meeting production schedules and resolving challenges proactivelyKey Duties and Success FactorsSafety & Compliance:
Follow all company safety policies and procedures, maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent hazards, and ensure compliance with operational guidelines and OSHA regulationsQuality Assurance:
Inspect products and materials to meet quality standards, follow proper procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in production, and identify and report any quality concerns.Operational Efficiency:
Operate or learn to operate a variety of machinery, including presses and forklifts. Monitor equipment performance and report malfunctions and assist in setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance of machine.Training & Development:
Participate in periodic training sessions to enhance skills, stay updated on best practices for manufacturing operations, and apply learned skills to improve workplace productivity and efficiency.Reporting & Maintenance:
Document operational data and report production progress, assist with troubleshooting minor mechanical issues and communicate effectively with team members and supervisor.Flexibility & Teamwork:
Adapt to changes in work assignments, shifts, and production needs. Collaborate with coworkers to meet production goals and willingly take on additional responsibilities as needed.Mathematical Skills:
Able to read tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurements, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.- Additional duties may be assigned by management.
- What You'll Need to
Be SuccessfulExperience:
High school diploma or GED preferred. 6 Months experience as a Flexo or DieCut Helper 6 Months experience in thePress and Finishing DepartmentsMachine Setup:
Ability to follow instructions for machine adjustments and basic maintenanceMaterial Handling:
Load and unload materials safely and efficiently. As well as Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed (training provided)Quality Control:
Conduct visual inspections and measurements using basic toolsProduction Monitoring:
Observe and track performance for optimal efficiency in the hand labor area.Technical Skills:
Understand equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operationHave an understanding of product layouts, specifications, quality specifications and quality standardsBasic Troubleshooting:
Identify minor equipment issues and communicate with maintenance personnel. Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic formAbility to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situationsSkills:
Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsBasic computer skills for data entry and reportingPhysical Requirements:
Standing, bending, and repetitive motions for extended periodsCertifications:
