Position Overview:

Chandler Park Academy is seeking a dedicated, certified Lead Pre-K Teacher for our Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP). The ideal candidate will demonstrate passion for early childhood education, commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment, and the ability to prepare young learners for kindergarten readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deliver developmentally appropriate, engaging lessons that are aligned with the Michigan Early Childhood Standards. Utilize a range of instructional strategies, including play-based and project-based learning, to support holistic child development. Conduct regular developmental screenings and assessments, documenting and communicating student progress clearly to families. Maintain an inclusive and structured classroom environment that emphasizes social-emotional development and promotes positive peer interactions. Actively engage families through consistent communication, parent-teacher conferences, and family engagement activities. Collaborate with assistant teachers and support staff, providing mentorship and guidance as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or related field. Valid Michigan Teaching Certification with Early Childhood (ZA/ZS) or Pre-K - 3 (ZO) endorsement required.
